You are on a shopping spree and trying on jeans or trousers is probably not your favourite thing to do. The cubicles are always too small, and taking off your trousers is a work-out on its own. While you’re in the cubicle, your courage drains when you find out that you took the wrong size. A fashion lover’s life is not all roses, but this lifehack will make it a lot easier on you. You no longer have to try on trousers; read all about determining your trouser size without having to fit!
Hack 1: Measure your trouser size on your neck
Measuring trousers around your neck may sound a bit funny, but it actually works. Take the two ends of the waistband and wrap the waist around your neck. Do the ends connect properly? Then the trousers have the perfect size for you. If the ends don’t meet, then opt for a bigger size. Do the ends overlap? Then you need a smaller size.
Hack 2: Measure your trouser size on your arm
In addition to measuring your trouser size on your neck, there’s a second option to determine your size without having to try on the trousers. Bend your arm and make a fist, then rig the trousers between your arm and hand. You’ve found the right trouser size when the trousers are properly tensioned.
Unfortunately, there is a downside: these hacks work perfectly on trousers with a regular waist, but not on high waist trousers.
