Women have one thing in common: their passion for shopping. There are only a few ladies who don’t enjoy an afternoon full of shopping, much to the irritation of their partners. Due to the Corona pandemic, the postmen keep running doorbells since we have nothing better to do then searching the internet for the best deals and most beautiful items. But what if things get out of control and you become a true shopaholic? Do you recognise one or more of these 15 warning signs? Then you may have a shopping addiction!

15 x warning signs you could be a shopaholic

#1 A day without shopping is a day wasted, is your motto! You suffer from withdrawal symptoms and sleepless nights if you haven’t ordered anything for 24 hours.

#2 You know all dates for all shopping events by heart. To score the best deals on for instance Black Friday, you know exactly when and where you have to be. You block all these dates in your agenda. Not just for this year, but for the next five years!

#3 The postman knocks on your door every day. And he’s not empty-handed! You know you have a shopping addiction when he’s on a first-name basis with you.

#4 You have a closet(s) full of clothes, but nothing to wear every morning. Your closet(s) may be bulging, but you think the perfect outfit is still not there.

#5 Saving, what does that mean? You probably don’t remember the last time money was deposited into your account. Money flows, right?

#6 You use every minute of every day to shop online. On the toilet, under the shower and even at 3 AM when everyone’s asleep…

#7 Regularly packages are delivered that you don’t remember ordering. You’ve slightly lost track of those orders, but hey, those fifteen new pairs of jeans can’t hurt!

#8 Your mailbox is full of newsletters from your favourite webshops. ‘You have 199 unread mails’ is daily fare for you and at least at half of the shops you spot an amazing promotion. Welcome to the club of shopaholics!

#9 You do anything to avoid shipping costs. Even if that means you have to spend at least £150 to save £5,95.

#10 Family and friends ask you all the ins and outs about online shopping. You know better than anyone where to score the best items at the lowest prices.

#11 You always lose clothes. Six months later you’ll find them back in your chaotic wardrobe. Naturally, the price tag is still attached.

#12 You’d rather eat dry bread at the end of the month than skipping a sale. That designer bag on sale was too tempting to resist and you’d be a fool not to buy it. Everybody understands that.

#13 You have an account at just about every online shop there is. Imagine there’s a members-only deal that you don’t know about? Impossible!

#14 Afterpay and Klarna are your most favourite payment options. It may not be sustainable, but you think ordering and paying afterwards for products you’d like to keep is the best invention of the century.

#15 You daily scour Gumtree and E-bay. Not to buy a preloved designer bag, but for wardrobes. The lack of space due to shopping addiction is real!
